Stretch Your Mind - are you interested in Learning?

If stretching sounds painful lets say we are going to do some warm up exercises, to get ready for whatever you want to do next. The main aim is that you enjoy yourself and in doing so acquire new skills, or improve those you have already. Stretch your mind is a short course of practical, hands on workshops including:

Writing Skills, Organising Ideas, Presentations & Research, Learning through the internet, Reports & Business Letters, e-mail & e-learning.

Each two hour workshop has a theme of its own. The series of 6 comes gives you the confidence to move forward in your chosen direction.

Courses run through July, August and September 2002 in Pateley Bridge and Leyburn. See the stretch your mind timetable.

Dates are set for the first workshops. Further dates will be decided at the first workshop. Rather than 2 hours each week, courses might run over a number of days or ½ days to allow for holidays if we can.

		Skills for Learning - develop skills in Information Technology, Communication, Teamwork, Numeracy and Problem-solving. This course may lead to a nationally recognized qualification.
		An Introduction to Marketing - examine the basic concepts of marketing such as development of marketing strategies, dealing with promotions and advertising, using real life case studies.
		Research, Enquiry & Reflection - an introduction to the skills of Research, Enquiry and Reflection, and how to develop these skills in order to become a confident learner.

R-HEP courses are free. Course fees are waived and agreed costs such as travel and text books can be covered depending on individual circumstances. For enrolment details please contact us.
